Meet Molly Russ Butson
Molly Russ Butson is a multidisciplinary fine craft artist whose lifelong fascination with
personal adornment shapes her intricate jewelry designs. Raised in Northern California,
her creative spark was lit by childhood memories of her mother crafting rhinestone
jewelry, alongside her own discovery of vintage beads and sterling silver.
Molly’s formal journey into fabrication began in 1998 with lampworking (glass bead
making), earning her a scholarship from the International Society of Glass Beadmakers
in 2005. Her technical curiosity quickly pushed her beyond glass into torch-fired
enameling, advanced silversmithing, and precision copper wire wrapping. Committed
to the preservation of traditional bench techniques, Molly hand-fabricates every
component of her structural metalwork, creating her own custom copper chains, jump
rings, and closures. Specializing in complex stone-setting techniques—including
basket prongs and open-back step bezels—Molly pairs precious gems with her
own kiln-fired fused glass dichroic cabochons and hand-fabricated metalwork.
Operating from her private studio, Molly continually expands her creative boundaries.
In addition to her signature jewelry design, she works in mosaics, stained glass,
practices traditional bookbinding, and plays the tenor guitar.

Our gallery celebrates the artistry of wearable design, featuring the original jewelry  by Pacific Northwest artists. Complementing these collections are distinctive hand-painted homewares, offering visitors an opportunity to discover exceptional handcrafted works that bring art into everyday life.
